Step by step
- Open Sign PDF and add the PDF. It opens right there in your browser - nothing is uploaded.
- Press Signature. Draw it with your finger or mouse, type your name in a handwriting style, or upload a photo of your signature (the white paper background is removed automatically).
- Tap the page where the signature goes. Drag to move it, and pull the corner to resize.
- Need the date or initials? Use Date and Initials. For initials on every page, select them and press Put on every page.
- Press Sign and download.
Tips
- Tick Remember on this device to reuse your signature next time. It's saved only in your own browser.
- Need to fill in text too? Use Edit PDF to add text, ticks and boxes.
- Sending something confidential? Add a password afterwards with Protect PDF.
Is it legally valid?
A drawn or typed signature is a simple electronic signature, accepted for most everyday documents like rental agreements, offer letters and consent forms. Some legal and government documents need a certified digital signature (DSC) or Aadhaar eSign instead - check what the receiver requires.
